Current issues:
  • Head node is not routing UDP properly - turns out this is a ipfw issue. Not sure why...
    • Child nodes can't use NTP
    • Server monitor does not work via VPN
  • Foundry switch admin interface isn't not accessible via VPN
  • Switch the RAID from 5+0 to dual 5
Todo:
  • Investigate Xgrid jobs (controller already setup & several computers connected)
  • Reset Open Directory password (kb)

Cloning procedure:
sudo dd bs=512k if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb
sudo watch -n2 kill -10 2348

Had to reset network interface #s @ /etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
RAID causes the boot disk to move from /dev/sda to /dev/sdc - update grub
Relicense MATLAB due to MAC address change (test on slave nodes using the command: ./matlab -dmlworker -nodisplay -r exit)
Delete /var/lib/mdce to reset MATLAB's distributed server state on each slave blade.
Update head node hostname & MAC in /usr/local/matlab_r2009b/license/network.lic
